WEEK 2:
Last week's lecture included slides from sections 1, 2 and the first part of section 3.
This week we will pick up on the lecture from that point to complete the discussion of chapter 3.

You must be registered in the class this week, as no visitors are
allowed after the first meeting.
Reading assignment to complete this week (week #2): First three chapters in text book.
Homework (Due this week #2): Problems at the end of the first three chapters.
Reading assignment for next week (week #3): Chapter 4 in the text.
Homework (Due on Week #3): Problems at the end of Chapter 4.

That's where you can get the printable versions of the lecture slides ( in PDFformat) that will be used in class.
The class FTP site is:

The lecture note files are in files named ecd##.pdf
where "##" is the sequence number, 01, 02, 03… and is NOT the
same as the week number!
You should get these files, and refer to them during the lecture, as they include the overhead slides and notes corresponding to the lecture and reading in the text.
