Logic Devices
YOUR PROJECT DRAFT IS DUE THIS WEEK!!
Reading assignment for week #7: Chapter 7 in the text.
Homework (Due this week): Problems at end of Chapter 7.
Lecture: We will summarize chapter 6 and briefly review timing analysis for the external data memory read and write cycles, the corresponding chip specs, and then go on to discuss chapter 7: Programmable Logic Devices.
Copies of the Lecture Materials: The course notes for this week are available on the FTP site. The material corresponding to chapter 7 is in the file ECD09.PDF.
There are also a number of files describing the operation and application of PLDs in the following directory:
ftp://www.hte.com/uconline/library/specs/
Look for the files named pld*.pdf There's also a file named logic.pdf which is a review of basic digital logic if you are rusty on this subject. You need only be familiar with basic logic functions and boolean notation. (e.g. F=A+B means output F is one when A OR B is one…)
