SDK (Software Development Kit) Documentation
The SDK is an 8051 family development board which combines a standard 40 pin 8032 processor with a monitor ROM, external serial port, and flexible address decoding to allow you to develop and test a wide variety of 8051 code. The board allows you to develop your code using your favorite 8051 development compiler or assembler and then upload your code via any IBM compatible PC's serial port. After loading your code you can run it by single stepping, breaking, trace recording, or full speed. In addition, the SDK can be used as an in circuit emulator (ICE) to debug code on other target hardware. The SDK comes with the development board, power supply, serial port interface cable, and 40 pin ICE pod with a header connector.

The manual describes hardware and software operation of the SDK including how to correctly power your board, interface it to your PC, and the monitor commands which allow you to control program loading and execution. PLEASE read the section on correct power connection to the board; this is the most common way people damage their boards ! In addition to the features described above, you can also use the SDK as an ICE (In Circuit Emulator). This feature is described in the manual. SDK Component Data Sheets
Listed below are data sheets for the main components on the SDK.
Some of these (such as the processor, EPROM, and SRAM) can be readily
interchanged with other parts to speed up performance, expand code space, etc..
